ELCC 1.1: Candidates understand and can collaboratively develop, articulate, implement, and steward a shared vision of learning for a school.
To lead is to model, to lead is to follow, to lead is to serve. Building trust among staff is the opening path to success. Compassion and integrity should be the mindset. Leaders breed other leaders. Quality traits will open doors to success. Minor mistakes can lead to doors full of issues. A true leader knows this is inevitable; it's not about trying to avoid those doors but being prepared with how to find a solution. Children need villages. Leaders are the gatekeepers of villages, and my growth as a servant leader has profoundly impacted my leadership skills, enhancing my ability to listen, empathize, and empower others within our educational community. In essence, effective leadership is about embodying perseverance, fostering trust, and embracing collaboration with a servant leadership mindset, ultimately creating a thriving educational environment where every member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the shared vision of success.
