ELCC Standard Element 2.2: Candidates understand and can create and evaluate a comprehensive, rigorous, and coherent curricular and instructional school program.
ELCC Standard Element 2.2 is focused on my understanding and capability to create and evaluate a comprehensive, rigorous, and coherent curricular and instructional school program.
Aligned with ELCC 2.2 principles, when faced with a decline in a student's performance, I was prepared to implement tier 2 and 3 interventions. Utilizing this standard, I actively engaged in discussions with a school committee to address the student's situation and overall school climate. These collaborative conversations involved staff and students and were grounded in ELCC 2.2 principles, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of the school program.
ELCC 2.2 guided me to draw on insights gathered from these discussions to develop targeted strategies. Recognizing the need for tier 2 and 3 interventions, I tailored these strategies to address the specific challenges faced by the student and the broader school community. Upholding high expectations ensured that these interventions aimed not only to improve the student's situation but also contributed positively to the overall learning environment.
By aligning with ELCC 2.2, I actively contributed to creating and evaluating a school program that prioritizes collaboration, trust, and personalized approaches. This approach fostered an environment conducive to the student's learning and well-being, emphasizing the adaptability of ELCC 2.2 in addressing the unique needs of students at different intervention tiers.
