As a future principal, I have demonstrated my commitment to effective decision-making by facilitating professional development opportunities for teachers on strategies that can be used to aid student learning and promote growth. My principal mentor asked me to showcase my teaching methods to other classroom teachers to create more consistency in the teaching styles in the school. This eliminated the confusion that may occur if a child is moved to another classroom. This involved analyzing student achievement data and conducting needs assessments to identify areas of improvement and developing targeted professional development sessions to address these needs. By engaging teachers in the decision-making process and providing them with the tools they need to improve instruction, I have demonstrated my commitment to data-driven decision-making and promoting student achievement. In my e-portfolio, I can highlight this accomplishment as evidence of my leadership skills and my ability to work collaboratively with teachers to improve school-wide outcomes.
